Are you paying my creditors

Postby Charlotte.Brough » Thu Jul 08, 2010 3:29 pm

Hi,
I Signed up in march and have paid u money per fortnight as we have been paid. I still have my creditors contacting me and threatening to send the bailiffs round because they are saying that I have not paid them!!!!!!!!!! One of my creditors MoorCroft has said that I agreed a 20 pounds a month repayment plan yet the only time I have spoken to them is to tell them that my accounts are under yourselves and to give them the debt reference number. If you have paid them then they shouldn't be contacting me for money!!!!! Please arrange to phone me or contact me because I know that they are breaking the law by contacting me. Another one that has contacted me is Wescott to say that they haven't been paid either. This is getting rather annoying. Being with yourselves was meant to make this easier so that we would not have to talk to our creditors

Hi Charlotte

Thankyou for posting on our forum, and sorry for the delay in my reply!

There are a few different reasons why your creditors may get in contact with yourself rather than me :

1)There have been missed or late payments.
2)The reference number we have saved on our system for that creditor is incorrect.
3)The debt has transferred to another company.
4)You are new to the debt management plan and still within the first 3 months of joining Debt Line.

So having a look at your account today Charlotte I can see that number 1 is the most relevant in this instance.

We sent out a payment to all your creditors on the 4th Feb, and the next payment wasnt sent until the 3rd June. The creditors have to see loyal and consistant payments before they will show leniency and accept a lower repayment arrangement. And in the meantime they are within their rights to contact you.

The good news is that I can see we have some cheques pending to go out for you from your payments made in July, so things are getting back on track Charlotte! :D

Please tell your creditors that we are dealing with the debts, and I am sure that once they have received their payments on time each month the hassle will naturally quieten down.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Cazz
