Postby njf » Sun Jul 18, 2010 10:02 pm

hi

i am wondering if i was able to pay off my total balance in a one off payment is this possible? and how do i go about it?

would i pay you the outstanding balance and you pay the balances off or would i pay the creditors direct?

if i was able to clear my debt early is there a fee to do this?

Many Thanks

Hi Njf,

Thanks for your post,

You're absolutely right that if you are in a position to pay off your debts we can sort this out for you!!! :D
If you let us know, when you are ready to settle all/some/one of your accounts then we will can begin to negotiate the settlement figure based on the amount of money you have available to settle the account.

You would then make the payment to us and we would send this on to your creditors, in line with the agreement we had made with the creditor in question.
With settlements we do charge a 15% fee for settling accounts this is included in the settlement payment made.

Hope this has helped,
Any further questions please get in touch.

Kind Regards

Right ok

I was never told about the 15% when I set this up I was just told I could
pay the balance when ever It was possible!
What if I want to cancel my agreement and pay off the creditors myself?

When I log in to my account the out standing balance never changes

please can you tell me what my outstanding balance plus your 15%
would be
the total Final figure I would have to pay!

Many thanks

Hi Nit

Thankyou for replying to Haley's post.

The reason we charge a settlement fee Nit is because we approach each creditor individually, make them an offer and aim to significantly reduce the figure that is actually owed to settle the debt. We will get an up to date balance from your creditors and get as much taken off as we can to help save you some pennies :D

Ofcourse if you choose to pay your creditors directly to settle the debts this is fine and we can close your account for you. However you will have to pay the full outstanding balance owed for each debt.

It is up to you Nit what you decide to do, but we would really love to help you complete your journey to becoming debt-free and feel that we owe you this service for choosing Debt Line and being part of our family :D

Please let one of your account managers know if you would like us to help with this Nit on 08000 919 991

Have a great weekend and we hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Njf

Thankyou for replying to my post.

The reasons your balances will not have changed on your online account is because it is your creditors responsibility to keep you up date with these. They do not tell Debt Line what your balances are on a regular basis, and as you are still a client of theirs you are more than entitled to request a written balance or statement from them.

I will pass your details over to one of your account managers today who will get on the case to get you the balances and settlement figures you require.

We will be in touch shortly Njf.

Kind regards,

Cazz

Hi njt,

Thanks for getting back to us, I've forwarded on your details to your account management team, for them to contact you and discuss getting all these accounts settled up for you, as there are just a few bits and bobs we need to establish before approaching your creditors for a short-term settlement!!! :D

Speak to you soon,
Haley
