    "Useless "

Did not understand English whatsoever - don't take money from account then write to me saying I haven't paid. Told they are setting up direct debit - never happens. Call again and they don't understand - pay again over phone. Confused to hell with them.

    "Incompetent organisation"

BLS write sackfuls of letters to their ' customers ' but you try writing back to them at their PO Box Number in Oxford: I guarantee you will not get a reply even if you send them registered and/or recorded. Not only do they never reply but the contents of your letters will not be recorded by them or even passed on to their Indian Call Centres: I speak with over 10 years of experience of dealing with BLS so the assumption is that perhaps this PO Box Number doesn't exist or no one services it: I will be investigating this issue with the Post Office as I think that this situation could be illegal within the framework of the FSA and/or the Office of Fair Trading.

"Horrible, pushy arrogant foreigners on the phone"

I have had a c/c debt with them for a few yrs now. Every week they rang demanding more money. I have a payment plan, albeit a small amount-as incapacity benefit doesn't stretch that far. After 2 yrs of threats and skittish remarks and demands, pushing me on the border of suicide sometimes, in desperation I ended up asking BT to change my landline number and changed my PAYG sim.... just to be rid of their demands. Now i only deal with them by post. I they employed staff that could speak English properly it would be alot better to understand exactly what they are saying.

    "Poor service"

Everytime I either make or receive a phone all with BLS the staff are extremely rude! Virtually every call will end with them hanging up on me. I made a formal complaint about their lack of service and terrible phone manner which resulted in a call from a manager to apologise however two days later I experienced the same result. This is a company who needs to invest heavily in training and basic knowledge of how to speak to people! I would never recommend their services to anyone other than watchdog or the Financial Ombudsman!

    "Telephone help regarding old acount"

The lady on the phone was very polite and tried her best to assist me but at no point in the conversation did I feel that she actually understood my comments and kept asking the same questions over and over again even though I had answered her. I have no problem with operators with English as a second language, I run a Public access line myself with people from several countries working for me but the most important skill for any operator is to not only be able to speak English but to have a good grasp of spoken English and not just clasrooom English.

    "Joke"

I really don't know what this company is playing at. Always phoning at ridiculous times, when you're either at work, or trying to eat your dinner. Never leaving a legible message on your answer phone. The times they called when I was able to answer the phone, I was met with complete silence for nearly a minute before they hung up. Today, I finally managed to speak to a human being...although that description is questionable. He was completely unable to tell me what it was that they were calling me for.
