    Have a store card with Argos owe £310 pound missed one month because of sickness Argos have now handed it over to a debt collector even though they are still taking the minimum payment out of my bank account each month I have a good mind to cancel direct debit

    Anyone using the store credit card I would advise you to close your account a.s.a.p. These people do not know what they are doing and no matter how honest and compliant you are, they treat you like criminals. They made a huge mistake on my account by applying an incorrect reference code. Even though I had paid the full amount on an item they continued to come back to me asking for a minimum payment. Eventually they sent me a threatening letter asking for the minimum payment on this item even though it had been paid. They told me that they had to try and find the payment as it may be lost in the system somewhere. Not much comfort to me when they were trying to extort money out of me with interest for a fraudulent none payment. They seem to have lost another payment now via direct online payment from my bank direct to theirs.Now they've threatened to block my card and I have told them I would be only too pleased if they did and close my account as this would be a blessing.... Although they claim they are investigating the matter, nothing has been done so far and the letters continue.

    "crap "

    i have just got my card as i had to get a new sofa i have tried there so called online website to make my first payment and every single time it has an error . i then rang argos but because i only wanted to pay the min the woman told me oh that didnt go threw . seriously had enough of this and if get charged for it they will know about it got better things to get on with then keep on phoning these idiots up

    "Interest In correct"

    I have received a statement which has taken interest of 74.73 when the previous statement said the interest would be 7.47. I have tried now to contact Argos card by phone all week and the system shuts down after about 20 seconds, although I will still be charged. I feel that it is un exceptable that a customer is unable to speak to someone either on the phone or by email. If I wanted to report my card stolen then this service is also unavailable. I expect a reply or I will have no other choice than to take my complaint futher to tradinfg standards

    "No Statement sent"

    Seem to be having the same problems others have with card payments. I go into the local Argos store only to be turned away if I try to use my Argos card as I have missed a payment. When I dig through my letters/ paperwork back home I find there is no statement from previous month so I failed to make payment. Sorry to all those who live their lives out there with numerous calendars on the fridge but my life is quite busy and I am used to statements coming to me in the post so as to prompt me. I also believe there is no email 'prompt' available. I would set up a direct debit but it can only be for the full amount which to my mind negates the owning of a store card. Not sure what I am going to do about the system they have as have spoken to a rep on the phone when threatened with a debt collection agency after 'missing' a £2 min charge and was talked down to by a very rude lady who could not see the fact that I had received no statement, or that I was missing a £2 payment, that their response was heavy handed to say the least. Go figure........

    "argos card services"

    Im really not happy with the service I have received my online account has been blocked for putting my password in incorectly. It says I can only have it unblocked by calling them ....on an 0845 number I have been trying all week to get through and I cant. All I need to do is answer a few security questions to get it activated again why cant I do this online I cant afford the call charges to keep ringing and be on hold for 15-20 mins some times even more. The website is crap and keeps crashing all the time. You can even veiw your statements in full on there. Will every other company I deal with everything through email or online and this is by far the worst account and I have had problems from the start.

    used store card to buy range cooker, it was delivered late, damaged without us knowing on arrival, goods are poor quality and after complaining to customer services, basically got same as other comments, rudeness etc. Spoke about refunding card but would not do that. Very annoyed and upset to say the least, so dont but from Argos Direct.

    i had a store card, argos did not send there statements out monthly, i ended up getting two together, then its double payment. phoned argos, customer service very rude and not helpfull, would advise anyone, dont bother with them, went into a plan with debtline, still argos contact me, which is going against fair trading.

    "never use again"

    Argos never send their invoices out on time, I received my invoice for november a couple of days before my december one so payment was overdue & they charged me £12.00. I phoned them & was basically told it wasnt their problem I hadnt received it, if I had a problem to take it up with royal mail. The same thing has happened on several occasions & have never had this problem with anywhere else, so argos want me to believe that royal mail sit on my argos invoice for few weeks before me receiving it nearly every month??? I dont think so. Customer services unhelpful & rude. High interest rate already charged. Will not use this card ever again & would not recommended

    I too have an Argos Card. I receive statements saying next payment is due on say 26th of the month, then a few days later I receive a letter saying that my account is in arrears and slap a late payment charge on. This has happened countless times. If you ring they blame you ! saying that you did not given at least 10 days for the payment to reach them when it left my bank account immediately. They are very crafty and ensure that no-one can find their customer services on line in case they have to acknowlege it. Many of my friends are going through the same thing. Even some staff I spoke to who work at Argos have been ripped off. If anyone reads this DON'T EVER GET AN ARGOS CARD!

    I have just had exactly the same problem no invoice recd for dec so they have charged me £12 because i havent made a minimum pyt approx £2.50 so the charge is 500 per cent more than the pyt staff were rude and unhelpful and would only remove the charge if I paid the balance in full over the phone so I advised when they send me a bill I will pay it and I will never use Argos again!

    same problem only this meant my six months interest free went over and got charged the full amount of interest for the 6 months despite being told in store when applying for the card that i would only pay interest on outstanding balance. Phones argos who ssiad that it wasnt theri problem what we were told to get us to get the card it only mattered that they sent us the terms and conditions that were different to what we were advised. DO NOT GET ONE OF THESE CARDS

    I am currently trying to make a payment to Argos Card Sevices, and there is a problem with master card debit cards and they are unable to process any payments. I have tried to make payments via the automated service, through the call centre ( very rude ) and on line, but have been advised by the call centre that if my payment is late, I will incurr a late payment charge as it is up to me to ensure payment received in time!!!!!! will not be making any futher purchases.
