Bristow & Sutor Civil Enforcement

Bristow & Sutor Civil Enforcement is a is a debt recovery company. They usually collect rent that is in arrears for landlords and also collect Local Authority debt arrears, like council tax.

They buy debt that is in arrears from your landlord or local council. Despite them usually buying the debt for much less than you owe, they will usually chase you for the full amount of the debt.

Many debt recovery companies have been accused of trying to force customers to pay more than they can afford each month. This breaks rules set out by the Office of Fair Trading.

Appalling treatment - I made my monthly payment 4 days late with documented proof of the reason why. The Bailiff came to my parents house (they are OAPs) & threatened them & bullied them to the point of my parents contacting the Police. Bailiffs told my parents one sum needed to be paid & when I spoke to them it had more than doubled. The guy was NOT in the slightest bit interested, when I said I needed to speak to Bristow & Sutor he said "I am Bristow & Sutor so speak to me" - he had no intention of coming to an agreement, he told me to beg, borrow, steal or do whatever I needed to do to pay the balance by that evening or he would take my goods. Note, I do not live with my Parents yet these guys tried to enter the property where they live & cease goods. When I spoke to the Bailiff he denied using threatening behaviour to two 75 year olds & claimed he witnessed everything said to my Parents. Funny that as my parents had visitors and all parties heard the threats and even more pathetic, is that the very small man dressed in a cheap suit was alone and was not joined until some 10 minutes later by a much bigger man who my parents said looked like a real Menacing Type. Not good, the most low of the low, maggots held together by bacteria is putting it mildly, and we will be taking this further.

    "Bristow and Sutor"

How do you get rid of all the stars on the rating panel because they do not deserve any, they turned up at my property at 19:20 when the office was closed so could not speak to anyone to review repayments. He walked round my property taking details of my furniture, however i can't believe that the council could have anything to do with this company as they are the most horrible people that i know. How they can sleep at night I will never know.

    "debt "

Bristow & sutor are pure con's i randoml phoned them up one day to arrange a payment plan. To then be told that bailiffs will be comeing to my door to collect either £448 or removel of goods, we replied with can we pay you today. They replied with no you have to wait for the bailiffs to come out and pay them. This was fine until the next day when they turned up and said it's now £629.28. The bailiffs seemed to think they have the aurthority to break in to our home and take what they want to cover the bill. Unbelievable people and i will be taking this message and putting it everywhere the f****rs

    "Horrific company"

No morals, no compassion. They would probably view this as a good rating but hopefully they will continue to step out of line and get themselves struck off.

"having trouble with bristow & sutor"

they are trying to distrain goods that don't even belong to me (car parked on my drive) don't listen, are aggressive and very unreasonable. when i requested to speak to someone in seniority i was told that 'managers don't speak' so maybe thats why they're so unprofessional!

A Bristow and Sutor agent tricked his way into our home ,my wife was on her own and allowed him in ,stupidly , however she is 70 years old , the guy6ft+ knew she was on her own because he had already asked the question, only on my return did he turn tail and run , albeit I am 68, one can not telephone Bristows as they hide behind automated messages, and will not allow you to the Shilocks who run this outfit . IF YOU DARE DIRECTORS STAND UP AND FACE US, Don't hide behind Bulley boys Copy to open facebook etc.

had a letter pushed through door saying we owed £4,000 council tax and as we never answered the door (total lie as they just posted and walked off) they have added a charge of £122.00 - we are not in debt. as we are on income support.. Just bully boy tactics to scare people.
